THE EARLY DAYS

Joined the Air Force in January, 1963 |

Married Karen in July 1963 |

Daughter Terri born October, 1964 |

Spent 3 years in Air Force tech shools |
|
LBJ decided a bunch of us should forget about the 3 years of electronics training, and spend a year in Vietnam loading the M61A1 Vulcan 20mm Cannon |

And loading bombs. |

And in our spare time - fixing the |
|
|
|
They provided a (sometimes) dry place to sleep. (I never had any interest in camping out after a year of this) |

Lots of scenic walkways. |

The most unlucky airman of the day had to pull the cans out from the bottom of the outhouse, fill with jet fuel, then throw in a match. What an unforgetable smell |
